FDE Academy
The TCS FDE model only scales if it can be taught. The Academy is where someone goes from “I have heard of forward deployed engineering” to certified, working practice — induction, a pathway shaped to their role, assessments that mean something, and a certification backed by a published rubric. It is the piece that makes the model reproducible rather than dependent on the people who already have the mindset.
FDE Induction
The Day 0–30 front door: the mindset film, four part-time weeks linked to the live model, and a Day-30 gate that ends induction with evidence rather than attendance.
Skill Taxonomy
The enumerated FDE capability catalogue, tiered gating / assessed / extended on the E0–E5 spine — with decay profiles, so a stale claim is discounted rather than silently trusted.
Course Catalogue
Internal Academy labs and verified external offerings covering every gating and assessed skill. Completion is evidence, never a level.
Learning Pathways
The 4-week Academy induction tracks plus role-readiness, specialization, certification-prep and leadership routes through the curriculum.
Assessments & Quizzes
Timed, server-graded checks that gate each stage — 88 curated questions with a server-issued clock, honest attempt limits, and rationales released after submit.
Certification Register
External, partner and internal FDE certifications, each mapped to the skills it validates and at what level — with cost, validity and renewal terms up front.
Non-FDE → FDE Transitions
Eight honest maps in from the bench — developer, data engineer, architect, BA, PM, QA, UX, ops/SRE: what carries over, what you must learn, and what you must unlearn.
L&D Management
For L&D and pod leads: capacity tiles, cohort tracking, stalled learners, idempotent bulk assignment, the scenario review queue, and CSV export. Admin only.
